Large Polo Barn
The large polo barn has the capacity to hold 250 people for your barn wedding reception or any type of event. This rustic space can also be used for a rehearsal dinner on the eve of your wedding, a cocktail hour prior to or following your ceremony, for your reception of dinner and dancing - the options are endless. It is a blank canvas on which you can create and bring to life your vision. The dimensions of the barn are: 135 x 65 ft, the renovated area is 65 x 55 ft and the stalls are 11 x 11 ft. Electricity has been added to accommodate large bands and caterers, and outlets are also available throughout the center of the barn.
We had our wedding here a month ago, and I am still getting comments from family and friends on how stunning the venue was. It has everything you'd want from a classic Kentucky wedding venue: rolling hills of emerald green pasture, friendly mares who came up to the fence to greet us, tree-lined drives and fences, and a gorgeous, spacious barn that is half pavilion and half stalls--perfect for an event setup that is both versatile and site-specific. The space was so flexible and unique, especially with the rental timing that allows for the opportunity to hold multiple events and really make the space your own. With options to hold events in the large barn, on the patio, or in grassy lawns, the hardest part of the rental was picking which of the beautiful spaces we wanted to use for which parts of our weekend! I keep going back and forth on which was better, the exceptional space or the above-and-beyond level of service and warmth from the owners. Rosie and Broussard became essential parts of our wedding team and just made us feel beyond welcome in their space. They were always on call to answer questions during the lead-up to our wedding and let us come by as often as we wanted to walk the space, work out details, and show visiting friends and family, and they offered un-asked-for, unexpected, and much-needed assistance with a variety of setup projects on the weekend. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and work with us throughout. It's worth mentioning, too, that my husband and I still marvel at the value of this space. We were looking at venues that cost more for a quarter of the time we spent at the farm, and which didn't include nearly the level of amenities or service that we found there. We kept having dreams about having our wedding in different places in the lead-up, and we woke up from those dreams grateful that we got to have our wedding at the Polo Barn instead. It was literally better than we dreamed of! There's plenty of horse farms around Lexington, but only one Polo Barn! Wish we could give it fifty stars!
